ceremony decor idea help!?

So we had to change our idea for the wedding as we originally wanted to get married behind a restaurant that had a veiw of a lake in the background but as it was late october we are getting married we would have had to rent tents and chairs and everything started to go out of our budget. Now we have found the local theater to be under our budget (which is awesome) but now we want to incorporate the old theater style into the wedding but want to make it romantic, classic and elegant all into one the theater background itself is beautiful but i'm trying to think of idea's of how to decorate lightly but yet elaborate on the theater. this is a theater for plays not movies. My colours are red, champagne and i haven't decided on a accent colour, my flowers are roses. if anyone has ideas or help would be great

I would make your accent color black and add some old Hollywood touches! I Google's images of old Hollywood decor and saw some really gorgeous stuff! Very romantic and classic! You could do your tables as names of old movies or movie stars. You could play clips of romantic old movies during cocktail hour also! Just look at some old stuff and you will get tons of inspiration! Good luck! It sounds like it will look really gorgeous!

Or do what CnSin said but with plays? Name all of the tables after Phantom, Les Mis, Cats, etc. Decor could coincide with each table's play. The menus, table names and/or programs could be written on playbills.

I googled "broadway themed parties" and went to images. Lots of really cool stuff. Kinda jealous actually.

What is the "old theater style" ? (I assume you're talking about the interior decor.) Is it art deco, 1920s, etc.?
