TK....I need to be able to read the posts that people have so lovingly left for me! Don't you realize I'm going through a wedding planning blahfest? And I need to the support/assistance/slaps/and hugs from my friends?! ARG! CURSE YOU!

I need to know how people really feel about Friday weddings...and December weddings. And how they would feel about a February wedding. And maybe I need them to tell me..."Gosh darnit, lunar...this is your wedding. Just pick a date and be done with it!"

I immediately am disappointed that THG has a Taylor Swift song. Thoroughly and completely disappointed. I can't stand her. lol

At least it doesn't sound like all of her other songs. I don't hate Taylor Swift but I don't really think she is an artist they should have picked for The Hunger Games soundtrack. Maybe they will just use it for the credits.

Cool points note: Arcade Fire is Little Bean's favorite band. How many 9 yr olds like them?? I'm guessing 99% have never even heard of them, poor little things. Being deprived of good music by their terrible terrible parents

Other cool notes point: When he was between 1 and 3 yrs old The Pixies was his favorite band. He would demand to listen to Nimrod's Son and then stomp around growling like Frank Black.

ETA: Sad note: I do not have video of this as until I got my smartphone I did not own a video recording device. I still don't have a proper one. I asked for a Flip for xmas, but sadly santa forgot. Sniffle sniffle.

I got her STD in November. </div><div>I think you really need to sit down with Andrew, decide what exactly you want your wedding to be & stick with it.  You both have to have an idea of what kind of wedding you want in your head, start writing those thoughts down on paper & discussing them so you come to a mutual decision & then stick with it. </div><div>

Possibly....We looked at the logistics of the venue we liked and decided it just wasn't convenient enough for our guests. So now we are entertaining other options...and will book something very soon, because I will drive myself insane otherwise. I just want to pick a place and move forward. I'm tired of second guessing, but I don't regret it, because I want this to be easy on my geusts...

Lunar - I don't really like Friday weddings. I don't have a problem with February weddings though.

Not a huge fan of Fridays weddings, I'm up early for work.  My sister's wedding is on a Friday too. Ughhh..

I answered in your other thread too, Lunar, but as far as Friday weddings, unless it's a holiday (we went to one on Veteran's day this year, and it was totally fine), I hate them. I think they're inconsiderate to your guests. I think a lot of the stuff you're worrying about as far as inconveniencing your guests is 100x less important than a Friday wedding. That actually is something they will remember, and might very likely be annoyed by. Especially if there is travel involved.

What is it about the venue you loved that you felt would be bad for your guests?

I'm sorry you're having a rough time wedding planning, Lunar. HUGS to you on that. In my own personal cynical and snarky attitude about weddings:  they'll drive you crazy as long as you have to plan 'em.

I'm okay with Friday weddings. Your guests can either attend or they can't. It depends on what you're going for also, something way casual or something formal. But I'm not an etiquette guru.

Fun tidbit 'o knowledge:  Jews are not supposed to get married on the sabbath, from sun down on Friday to sun down on Saturday. So you can either have a friday afternoon wedding, a late Saturday wedding, or get married on Sunday.

And yay for hunger games sound tracks!  Boo for Taylor Swift!  And Yay for purring kittens who let you knot on our laptop at 6:30 in the morning!
