I wish I would have had one with my first marriage, but live and learn!

The thought process that pre-nups are leading to an inevitable divorce is just stupid. In another post somewhere a knottie mentioned having car insurance, but you don't plan on crashing, homeowners insurance, but you don't plan on having your house burn down.

Going into a marriage is of course a joint venture, but there could be circumstances that led to financial gain prior to the marriage, during or even after that you feel you need to protect because of the "what if's".

That doesn't mean I am not going into my marriage with my heart open, I just also have personal experience and my eyes open. I don't want to have to go thru what I have in the past and as long as both parties are ok with it, go for it!
