Weather- What's up with it?

What's the deal with the weather? The amount of snowfall...well...lack there of...is downright nervewracking in California.

I feel like the weather has been a bit wonky for the last three years. Some people same global warming- others say that the world constantly shifts between ice ages and warming times.

What do you think?

First time I've gotten snow this year after the October disaster and I'm in New England. Yes, something's messed up for sure.

It's been weird here too.  This is the first time I've had to put on a jacket in a while.  The highs have been in the 60s since December with the exception of today.  But even today is going to be high 50s.

The weather has been so strange here too (central Canada).  We had no snow for Christmas, it would go from +4 one day to -20 the next (Celsius), we just got a ton of snow and it's around -30 today and so damn windy.  Usually we're under a few feet of snow by November and it's normally -55 this time of year.

Today, the high is 65 and the low is 28.

Tennessee winter weather is AWFUL.

I am jealous, my cousin lives in Northern Cali, she's gearing up to snowboard.  As for down here in So Cal its been cold but not enough for snow.  I want to snowboard.  Its 2012 the world ends in 11 months live it up.

Agh moto I completely agree! The resorts in WI make the snow but its not as good to board on as the real stuff.

Typically in WI its -1 to -25 with the windchill this time of yr. We haven't even hit negative temps yet, only got about 10 inches of snow from November to now, which is nothing since we had green grass until last Wed then we got 6 inches of snow that is slowly melting again. Apparently at midnight tonight its supposed to be -3 since we have 20 mph winds today (luckily I will be in my bed nice and toasty warm!)

Last year was so dry in AZ that I am loving all the rain AZ has gotten in the last 6 months. I feel like some years are hotter, and the next year makes up... same with rainfall. I don't think about it too much, though, to tell you the truth.

This exactly!! I hate winter with a passion! I hate hypothyroidism, so I get cold super easy as it is. It sucks though because FI had heat exhaustion twice so in the summer he turns on the a/c and I freeze then too, lol.

Northeast Ohio weather is usually wacked out to begin with, but this winter has been so odd.  We'll get 8+ inches of snow and temps in the teens, and then a few days later, it'll be 50 degrees.  Personally, don't mind the cold and I actually like snow, and I think winter is an ugly season without it.  FI's best man is a severe weather forecaster at Accuweather and he said that it'll continue to be a mild winter for us up til February, then we'll get a ton of snow all the way into March.  But he's been known to be off on the forecasting before!

The weather is extremely bizarre here, as well. The entire month of December was freakishly warm. Normally it is bitter cold with snow, but this December you didn't even need a coat. Then January hit and we went from 55-60 degree weather to 19 degree weather in matter of 3 days. It's so flip floppy too, I hate it!

I found the snow. It's in Seattle. I just flew in today, and we're gearing up for the biggest snowstorm since 1996. Strangely, I was here for the '96 storm. Our neighborhood was shut down for a day or two until the snowplows could come.

I'm a little worried about driving to the airport Thursday morning, as tomorrow is supposed to be the worst of it.

We were in Lake Tahoe at New Year's, and it was bizarre to see no snow.

Except for the freak snowstorm in Oct, there hasn't been any snow yet. I hate winter so I hope it stays that way.

Yep! My best friend lives in Bellevue, and he says he's already snowed in!!
