Halp!

I need help with some boots.  My Grandma (as mentioned in an earlier post) is taking me shopping today for my birthday to JCPenny.  So I decided I need some warm boots...I live in flip flops and hate to live in tennis shoes. I need help picking some out!

First link I like in each color but possibly go with black seeing as though I own more black shirts than brown..

Second Link  Not sure about these but they look warm and comfy

Third Link In black as well

I'm not fashion forward or anything, and don't know the first thing about boots...any help would be very much appreciated!

Hmmm... a post about shoes?  How could I not respond?

Ok, well, I don't know what part of Jersey you're from, but ask yourself how much snow/salt you will be dealing with during the winter.  If it's a lot, I would probably advise against suede because snow and salt tend to ruin suede shoes.  (If you insist on suede, make sure you invest in a good suede water & stain repellant.)

That being said, I like the third ones best.  They'll be warmest and I think they're the best looking.

ETA:  I found very similar boots online for less money at 6pm.com.

I'm not fashion forward, but none of those are going to be warm in the snow.  You can waterproof them, but snow seeps right through fabric boots.

I went to grad school in middle of nowhere PA (yay Penn State) so I know at least that :)  I do have a nice comfy pair like that from Target that were only $20 and are reasonable for when it is cold but not snowing :)

In snow, I use real boots.  Northface :)
I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton

I also vote for the third one b/c they will "go with" more stuff, and are cute :-) .  Yay shoes!!

ETA but I'm from the South so I don't really know anything about dem snow boots ;);) . (Like what kind will be better for snow).

I have these in barrel brown and I love them http://www.thenorthface.com/catalog/sc-gear/womens-footwear-filter-category-boots/womens-abby-iii.html

I wear them outside and change into regular shoes at work (a common practice in Chicago during the winter).

THIS- If you're looking for boots to wear in the snow, these won't help. #3 will probably be your best bet since there are higher on the leg but that won't stop the wet from seeping in.

When it comes to keeping my toesies warm, fashion has little impact on my footwear choice. I'll wear my Ugg's on decent days when the snow is plowed but usually I wear my gaudy snow boots into work.

Heart-Those are so cute and I'll probably invest in these for snow days!!

L2S4S- I am now in love with 6pm.com.

I'm just looking for warmth more than anything right now.  The fact that I am at my Grandma's mercy as to where to get shoes from, I'll be going with num 3.  She has a coupon or something from there and it's a one day only sale.  I realllly appreciate the input.

<div>You can get whatever sizes they have listed as available for each style.  You can also search by shoe size.</div><div>
</div><div>6pm is WONDERFUL.  You pay $6 for shipping for AS MANY SHOES AS YOU WANT.  Last year, I got 10 pairs of shoes (including 2 pairs for FI) for less than $100 TOTAL, including shipping.  THAT was an AWESOME sale.</div>

I'm the queen of pretty shoes.  Seriously, in our apartment, FI gave me a whole closet...just for my shoes.

    Happy hunting.

I'd die if we had enough room in our apt. to designate an entire closet for shoes. <3
