Old Married Hag

Yes, that's me.  I guess it's true, since I'm an old married hag now I hardly have time for you NEYers Wink

How is everyone doing?  Did I miss anything overly exciting?  I'm good, if you're wondering.  Just been busy, obviously.  DH and I started P90 about 2 weeks ago and we're still going strong - both ready to be healthier so we can enjoy life a little more.  It's been rough but we're determined to stick to it!

Jeter, P90X is tough but awesome for sticking with it. FI and I made it about a month but we were dead sore. It is a tough program.

Ahhh Jeter, welcome back you old hag. lol. I have so much respect for you for doing P90X - I can't do it!!

You didn't miss too much around these parts, I don't think. I changed my wedding date, Oceana posted a bunch more DIY stuff, we haven't had many crazies lately. I have a terrible memory so hopefully someone can jump in.

    We missed you. :)

    Hey Jeter! We've missed you!

News?  Well, Bren came back and we've talked about Harry Potter and Thanksgiving recipes about 100 times each. That about sums it up, I think!

    Hey gurl HAYYYYYY!!

    They summed it up.

LOL Hey Girls - sounds like I didn't miss all that much.  I hate Harry Potter so I'm glad I missed that conversation.  But I do think I'll have to look back for any recipe posts!

Life is good on my end.  Enjoying married life but been extremely busy.  I'm soooo ready for Turkey Day!  MmmMmmMmm.  In fact, we're having a Thanksgiving Lunch here at work today with fried turkey.

Oh, as far as P90 - we are doing the original version of P90 that Tony Horton did back in the late 90s - it leads up to P90x.   It's not AS hardcore as P90x but it is definitely kicking our butts and after we complete these 90 days we'll move on to P90x.  It is amazing the difference I can already tell in my strength - when we first started there are parts that I could only do 1-2 reps and I can now do 10-15 reps!

Jeter, I'm so impressed you're doing P90. I'd love to do P90x but I've still got my gym membership and I love my gym, yet somehow end up never going. I'm hoping to get on track in December once I get a break with school.

I think it's a great idea to do it with your DH. I know a couple that did it together and it worked out GREAT for them. They stuck to it fairly well, and both loved their results with P90x. The husband really toned up and the wife slimmed down and toned, and she looks great now seeing as she just had a baby a year ago.

    Hey girlie...how's married life?

bren - I have been SO surprised that DH is doing it and sticking with it.  I really didn't think he would, to be completely honest.  He is already seeing big changes and you know how men are - they lose weight much faster than us women. Ugh!  But yes, doing it together is making it better/easier and it may sound strange but I think it's bringing us even closer as a couple - we both get so excited when we've finished a workout!

    Thumbs up for the P90X.

Thumbs down for hating Harry Potter.  (You do?  Really?  Why?)
