Guys, it was amazing. Like, seriously amazing.
The restaurant he picked was perfect, although I felt a little out of my element at first because it was incredibly classy. But, we had some wine, and the food was amazing. I had sauteed sea scallops over roasted autumn veggies (turnip, carrot, celery, olives and some kind of crazy veg that looks like white asparagus but isn't). YUM. Completely gluten free. He called before hand to make sure. And his table manners? They were perfect. I was impressed.
It was a beautiful night out, so we wandered around DC, and into Union Station for a bit, and then decided to head home, where we basically just hung out and watched Ocean's Eleven, and snuggled on the couch for a bit. And talked. Until like 2AM. He brought me home, and everything was just absolutely perfect.
And the best part? He left work early to pick up cupcakes for me. Gluten free chocolate lava fudge cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake. A whole dozen. Just for me. Om nom nom. Best cupcake I've had in 4 years.
I'm holding on to this one ladies, I am.
