My name's Amanda, I'm 28, living with my SO basically since we met almost 8 months ago, but now have an apartment together. We've talked about marriage and kids and bills, and have gone to look at engagement rings together. I know that he bought one, that I love, but is just waiting for the right time. I'm sooo excited though and I can't wait. Smile I know that he'll do something wicked sweet and romantic knowing him. Smile I just don't know when it will be.

I'm also helping my sister with her wedding plans and she's getting married on June 4th and I'm her MOH. And I think that I have a lot of good wedding advice already and so I think I can be helpful on this board.

Well thanks for letting me introduce myself and I hope that I get to help some people here and once I start planning get some helpful advice too. Smile

    Its a fine line between flashing the coot to the paparrazi, and playing a role in a theatrical show.  Hahaha.... I think the HP brigade might be gathering their wands now and looking for some ass kicking.  I wouldn't pay to see LiLo's coot in the papers and I wouldn't pay to see HP's twigs and berry in a play.  But I will say I do like the books.  The movies are ok.  At least its coming to an end.  I rather watch Harry Potter than Twilight.

    I never got HP, I enjoyed reading Twilight, but the movies ruined it.

And I was working at a Fed Ex sorting facility when the 3rd or 4th book came out and it added like 20 hours to my shift that week because there were like a million extra packages that week, heh.     Hello, Singing Lyn!

    You should sing us some tunes, just sayin.  I'm a big fan of singing and instrument-playing people.  Especially musical theater.  I grew up in NJ - I find it very odd when boys don't like musicals.  This apparently is not a normal reaction ;)





    I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton

    And Wrkn, I think you're confusing Harry Potter with Daniel Radcliffe.  These are not the same.

    Thanks for the welcomes. My family all call me Mandy, but I don't really like being called Mandy. I always thought my name Amanda Lyn was different, but I went to school with about 6 other Amanda's. LOL, so I guess it wasn't that different. I think it was a popular name around the early 80's. I like to sing, but I don't sing that much. But I was named after a song too just not the Barry Manilow song. It was a song by Don Williams a country singer.

    And on the off topic posts, I never read the HP books or saw the movies, I did read the Twilight books and saw the movies, but I didn't think they were that good either. :)
