Random Surprises

My parents are still going through who they would like added to the guestlist. They are currently debating about one person (who is a distant relative) since they weren't invited to their sons' weddings. However, if they do invite him then their entire wedding party from 30 plus years ago will be invited to my wedding.

I kind of hope they do want him to come because I think it's amazing that they are still close enough after all these years to have them all together again. It'd be a great picture I think.

I found out that the guy who plays Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) in The Social Network, is the older brother of the Pepsi girl from the 1990s ( Hallie Kate Eisenberg). I was surprised because, DUH they totally look related. How did I miss that?

One of my BMs got married last year, and I was in her wedding. We were super close in college, and her parents pretty much adopted me as their unofficial third child (as did my parents with her). When she got married, she not only invited FI and I, but she invited my parents. And when she found out my brother (whom she had only really met 2-3 times) was living an hour away, she invited him and his girlfriend too, so our whole family could be together. She's amazing.

Needless to say, I invited her parents to our wedding, because they've always been so lovely to me. I honestly didn't think they'd be able to make it, given the money involved (plane tickets, hotel rooms, etc.). I got a call from my BM today saying her parents just bought their plane ticket to come for the wedding. It totally made my day.

No major surprises for me today. I did get a call that my new glasses are ready -  I haven't worn glasses in over 4 years! These are a cute new trendy pair that look totally "sexy business woman"...I can't wait to get them tonight...BF is gonna love  them!

FI's mom said she wants to take the entire family (FI's parents, sister, nieces, BIL, FI and me) to Disney World!!! We don't know when they want to go but that would be awesome. We had to miss out on the last family trip to Disney World because we couldn't afford it so this would be great. We will see what happens.

I think I found a photographer today. I love her pictures, she is within budget, and is super friendly. Not really a suprise, but I am very happy.

That is really cool! 

We're babysitting BF's Dad's cat right now. Everything about that is surprising. His cat is nuts (and kept me up most of last night, for various, annoying reasons), but I love her. BF just stuck her up in our bedroom window sill, and she sat there in awe. It was really cute. I keep stepping on her though, because she follow us around.

My boss came in today and said "Well, since Friday is your last day we'll take the morning to clean things up and then we're taking you to lunch and having the afternoon off."  What a nice last day surprise:)
