Shoe sadness

So, I got my shoes in last night... turns out they aren't going to work. They are pretty tall and have NO arch support. While I could probably make them work, I don't want to be uncomfortable on my wedding day, so I'm going to send them back. Here's what the problem is:

Bummer, because I was sure they were going to be perfect! Also, after getting them in, and a short conversation with FI, I think I am going to try to find white shoes instead of blue. Wearing the ones above, they just didn't feel 'bridal' and I think it's because of the color. So at least it wasn't a total waste!

Bummer! At least it helped you realize what you wanted in the end. They are super cute still, it just sucks that they didn't work out for you.

Awwww.... I'm so sorry!!!! They are a lovely shade of blue though! Maybe you could get an arch support insole and wear them for you rehearsal dinner? :)

Well, I could definitely get an arch support to make them more comfortable, but they are slightly too big, AND you can see my whole arch sticking out the side of the shoe. It's just the way they were made (and what some of the reviews said). Plus, at $175, they are way way too expensive to keep around for any occasion that doesn't involve me saying 'I Do!' :)

It's a bummer...but I just know you're going to find something you LOVE instead of something you're trying to make work. I agree about the color too. I'm totally the kind of person that thinks she wants a bold statement or a fun color...but then I always go back to classic basics. Do what makes you happy. If blue and uncomfortable isn't for you...than return them and fall in love with something else! Laughing

I really loved the shoes when I first saw them in your siggy, they remind me a little of the shoes Carrie wears when she gets married in the S&TC movie. That's super lame about the arch support! You'd think with a heel that high, it would have to have it.

I'm sure you'll find something you'll love even more!!

Those are gorgeous, CCO, but even taller than the last ones :) I'm now on the search for 2 3/4" to 3 1/4" heels! Looks like I need to schedule a trip to Nordstrom's Last Chance sometime soon!

I'm wondering if I should wait until my dress comes in... While the color is listed as ivory, it looks a lot closer to white. So I'm thinking I'll need white shoes.

:(  I am sorry they don't fit.  They were beautiful though!  Good luck on the white shoe hunt!

I hate shoes like that!  It's one of my pet peeves.

I'm sorry they're not what you expected, but glad you have a better idea of what you want now.  <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />

My wedding day shoes were the same brand and pretty similar to these:

    http://www.dsw.com/shoe/kelly+.and.+katie+grace+satin+sandal?prodId=189087&brand=300191&isBrand=y&categoryName=Women%27s%20Shoes

    They were quite comfy.

I was all worried about that the color would be slightly off and look weird, but even though it wasn't an exact match when I held the shoe against the skirt, somehow when I had them on, they looked perfect.
