Not Engaged Yet

Can I be grumpy for a bit?

Long days at school = boo.

So, you know what I hate? When people make plans with you, then keep dragging things out about how they *think* they'll still be able to make it and then never get back to you!!! I hate that. It's a huge pet peeve of mine when people break plans without a good reason (which I consider things like sickness and whatnot).

Also, I want to be grumpy that in the "Introduce Yourself Here" post, there's a 16 year old girl posting. No. Please don't be posting on a wedding board at 16 about your relationship.

And in other news, I finished reading The Hunger Games trilogy. Which, if you have read, PLEASE TELL ME because I loved it. And no one I know has read it :(

I hope everyone else had a good weekend!

I stalked her a little and it says 2 years and 8 months until her wedding... So right when she can get legally be married. I can't believe a 16 year old is planning their wedding...

Oh the beebees....because I know that when I was 16, I knew everything about life too and was so totally definitely ready for marriage, like yeah....  LOL.  I also noticed someone posted their relationship status as "engaged to be engaged".  Seriously?  Just wow.

Oh...and to add the the 'grump fest', FI just started his new job today.   It's a large company that is pretty well-known for their awesome Christmas parties where they give away tons of stuff (all tax free too)...but his friend's wedding (in which he is a groomsman) is on the same day. Boo.  We are thinking about cutting out a little early, like 9PM for a 5PM wedding.  What do you guys think?  Rude?

Ah! I can't even imagine looking at the knot at 16 and I was dating my BF when I was 16!

That is crazy. I'm obviously not the person who thinks high school sweethearts can't make it, but when they are that immature and unrealistic it is obvious they won't.

Maybe she lurked a bit and realized it was not a good idea to post.

<div>I agree... I started dating BF at 17 and I wanted to get married young, but by young I meant 20-21 not being just old enough to legally to vote. I had a cousin who got married the day after her high school graduation and a week after her 18th birthday... Yeah, that marriage didn't go too well.</div>

I wanted to marry FI at 17 :X We were going to live in his parents basement and everything would be PERFECT. Luckily, we were much smarter and realized it would be much harder for us in the long run to get married at 17 than it would to wait until when we were REALLY ready and able to live somewhere other than the basement apartment. (Run-on sentence much?) We realized that if we're going to be TOGETHER 4EVA, what would a few more years of dating hurt?

Beebees- coming from a former beebee (beebee c/o 2004..HOLLA) If you really are growner than you age, you will realize you can wait a few years to get married.

Also- May I rant? I know being a new mom is super exciting but I do not need to hear about how you pulled up your kids diaper and stuck you finger in poo. A few more of those and your status' (stauti?) will be hidden from my Facebook feed.

I so want to read Hunger Games.  If I remember, I'll keep you posted (it's bound to be several months from now at this rate...)

I inserted my beebee comments in the other thread dedicated to beebeeness

Jemmini- I don't think it's rude to leave a wedding a bit early, but I bet there are people who would disagree with me.

Yeah... facebook is bad for TMI. I know a copule that like to write on each other's walls about how much they hate people. They live together. Totally unnecessary and they name names, I bet just to stir up trouble.

YES!  I hate that.  It's like they are saying "Yeah, i'll try to make it but if something better comes up forget you!"  I have a "best" friend like this.  She is so hard to get a hold of and then for her to actually "remember" our plans or show up is a miracle!  So I give up and do things with other friends who actually return my calls or bother to show up annnd she gets mad!  UGH!

You know, if I could devise a FB status filter that would let you never have to see posts with certain keywords (like "poo"), I'd be rich!  =)

Now if I can just learn how to code....

Jemmini, I don't think it's rude to leave early.  Stay for the ceremony, the dinner, and once the dancing starts most people probably wouldn't notice if you slipped out anyway.

I know how to do it!!  You type  "Do I really need to know about what is coming out of your child's nose, mouth, butt, etc." in that box that says" What's on your mind?" It worked when I said "Are 36 kissy face photos REALLY necessary?" I haven't seen a kissy face since.

Note- As much as I would like to do it in this situation, I couldn't say "what's on my mind". I believe in discretion and you should too new mommy.
