Hey all. Just wanted to do a short intro so you can get to know me. BF and I have been together since high school. We broke it off for a while to grow and meet other people, and are now back together and have been for 4 years straight. Guess we just couldn't stand being apart!

There is no ring yet, and thats fine with me. I know we are going to get engaged within the next few years, but I want to be suprised so we don't talk about it often. We talk about marriage often, and know that we both want to spend the rest of our lives together, we just want to do it the right way. There is no rush, we are just enjoying what we have right now!

    Welcome! Sounds like a good place to be - and you're at the right place!  Most of us are in a similar stage, or have already gotten engaged/married but were in a similar stage before.

    Nice to have a not BSC (bat sh*t crazy) noob around for once...

    Welcome. Lots of people here have been with their BFs since they were teens (myself included). Just don't go BSC or beebee, and you'll be fine (and if you DO feel you're headed that way, give us fair warning so that we may pull you back).

    Welcome I can relate to you pretty well.  My BF and I started dating at 19 we dated for 3 years then I broke things off at 22 I needed to figure my life out, graduate college and get a job.  Now we have been back together for 2 years and own a house and a dog together :)  Sometimes you just need that break to realize that what you had is in fact exactly what you were looking for all along :)

    1337 is gamer/internet speak for leet, which is short for elite.

    It started in video games, where the best player was the "elite" player. Of course, we gamers can't stand to type in english. So it became leet. Then, it became 1337 because we're just that crazy we like to talk in numbers.

    In Anarchy Online (which is a massively multiplayer online game) they actually had cute fuzzy prairie-dog-like animals which were called "leets." They spoke leet (peekay? (variation on PK- player killer) pwned! (variation of owned- when someone is severely beaten by another player)) and Adventurer classes could transform into leets in order to hide.

    Fun fact- I played an Adventurer, dual-weilded giant pistols, and wore pink body armor with purple spectacles. My favorite form was the leet, because it was adorable and I could sneak around without being detected.

    But mostly, it means "elite" which just means awesome.

    Jeanna - when I saw the leet, all I could think of was a Mongolian Deathworm. Awesomely bad SyFy movie. It was almost as bad as Mega Piranha.
