So, this week has been insane, and not in a good way. As of 5:30pm on Wednesday I am unemployed. I was let go from my job and have been given 2 months of pay to tide me over until I can find something else, as well as the promise of a good reference. I was shocked and upset, obviously. That being said, I am trying not to panick too much and just get right to work finding a new job.
That night my son and I had plans of decorating the Christmas tree, BF was supposed to join us but had sent me an email earlier saying he had a project that was going to keep him late and may not make it to help decorate the tree. Once I left work I text BF and told him the not so good news, picked up B, headed home and made dinner. At one point BF sent me a sweet text that he was leaving work and coming over and would work from home on the project later and that he would help with anything and could cover any bills if need be, etc. I started to cry because he was being so sweet. B tried to make it better by bringing me his favorite blanket from my Mom and making me a picture. Then BF came in with flowers and a bottle of wine and helped hang the ornaments, then rubbed my neck and feet and was just awesome and made me feel a lot better. BF was beyond amazing and really said about a million great things about me as a person, GF, mom and said that he is so sorry that he doesn't say it all the time, but he gets wrapped up in working all the time, etc. I am very blessed to have such a sweet BF and my adorable son (and all my other family and friends) to help me get through this time!
After B was in bed and BF went home I sat up and looked up some job openings online for a couple hours that night, then Bradley woke up and I heard him coughing and then crying so I went into his room to find that he puked all over his bed. He puked a few more times and we were up half the night. Needless to say, it was not the best day, Wednesday. Thankfully the little one is feeling better!
I have since updated my resume and put together a cover letter and applied to about 20 job openings listed on Career Builder, pretty much anything fulltime that is nearby and I am qualified for. I also sent my resume out to a few family members and close friends who may be aware of some openings.
I'm going to put in a little more time on this and then throw in the towel and forget about it all for a couple days. BF and I are off to Pittsburg tomorrow and will be returning on Monday afternoon. This little getaway could not have been planned for a better time!
So, if you all could send some T&P and knottie vibes for some follow-up and a job offer in the near future I would greatly appreciate it! TIA, Ladies!
