I think if your dogs are a special part of your family and you want to incorporate them go for it! I also think its valid that you would for sure need to plan ahead who would take care of the dogs during portions of the day when obviously you are unavailable to do so.  And obviously you wouldnt ask someone that hates dogs to perform that job.   doesnt mean a friends teenager or something would have a problem being in charge, there are tons of options to go that route.
