I'm jealous! In NJ, the license expires after 30 days, so I am going next Fri. Both of us have to go in person, with proof of ID and residence, plus a witness. Just for a little piece of paper!

Thanks Ladies. @rvalach, wow, 30 days?? Ours are valid for 6 months. We are getting married about an hour away from where we live. We both had to go with ID, and the whole process only took about 10 minutes! It was so exciting though.

Yeah, it's crazy. But, it's 30 days from when you pick it up. So we're going to apply 3-30, but then not pick it up until about 1 week before the wedding. This was the advice of the office. That way if there is some freak act of God and our wedding gets moved, we have some more time left on the license without having to reapply, which takes another 3 days.

Wow, $30 would be awesome.  We just got ours on Monday and had to pay $62!

Of course, we didn't even need ID.  Apparently they were cool with just our SSN's (and no proof of those either).  I needed to show more ID to get my car license tabs renewed.

We got ours on Monday.  $62 no ID needed just some info on us and signatures, and swear we are telling the truth.  Very exciting though...neither one of us ran out the door
