Hello Everyone,
I am getting married in a couple of months, destination wedding, very excited! Money has been tight trying to pay for everything, we have been buying things gradually to try to spread out the budget but now its coming to crunch time so money has been stressful.
Now I know we will be ok to finish paying for the rest of the things we want/need but last month something came up.
One of my fi best friends were scheduled to get married next october but decided to move it up to this October. (we havent even received an invitation not sure they are going to even send any to be honest). But his best friend has asked him to be best man which is great. The only problem is they live on the other side of the country so we would have to fork out a lot of money for plane tickets.
Ive told my fi that if we have money after paying for the rest of our wedding things than I have no problem spending the money to go there but it will be hard as their wedding is end of october and ours is end of november(even taking time off work will be difficult)
He is hell bent that we will be going regardless but I dont think its fair that they have moved their wedding with a last minute notice and now I need to reevaluate my wedding budget because of this (as most things left are non negotiable ie rings dog kennel, very costly)
I guess Im wondering if I am in the wrong its just super stressful enough paying for our wedding without worrying about theirs.
