I didn't want to hijack the other post so I thought I'd page you.  FI's "bachelor party" is a trip to Raleigh with his BM to see the NC State vs. Pitt football game.  He is very excited about it.  He flies down for a few basketball games each year and I know that he would LOVE to have season tickets someday and go to all of the games. Do you live near Raleigh?  If so, do you like living there?  I imagine that we'll live there one day.

  • Aww!! I have my first post dedicated to me! Hahah Thats an awesome Bachelor party!! My Fi would probably do something along those lines, if he liked sports. He's more of a computer dork :) , but I make up for his lacking :) I lived in Raleigh for three years (college. . .Im still attending) and my FI and I just recently moved to Fuquay because he bought a house out here. I love it!! I used to live in Charlotte, but I def. prefer the Raleigh atmosphere a lot more. People just seem to be friendly more in Raleigh than in Charlotte. Its also a very pretty city. I could totally give you some pointers on places to go if you ever decided to head this way hah. I will say though, as far as Rent goes (if you're renting) closer to the city is more expensive. I would recommend living on the outskirts *Fuquay for us* as the commute isnt bad at all. Their public bus system isnt bad either. Plus, we have the state fair! WooHoo! Is your FI from Here?

  • No, my FI was 8 when Jimmy Valvano took the team to the NCAA championship and has been in love with NC State since.  He got a 4-pack of football tickets which includes the Maryland game so we will be going to that game together (and maybe the other two).  So if you have any recommendations, feel free to post them.  The only time I've ever been down there was when my cousin had a bone marrow transplant at Duke and I liked it down there.  I had visited a friend of mine in Apex and that seemed like a nice area too.

  • Hey! Sorry to have not replied to your post. I do have some recommendations about where to eat, but I'm out of town for this week visiting with my FI's family. I'll repost when I return home in a couple days! :)
