Need some input

Here is my problem...Originally we had set our colors to Red, Black and White.  Mainly because it was less thinking I had to do and went with my dress and his kilt.  But then I did some thinking and decided we should put more effort into our colors.  Lots of people are doing the red and white thing, so I wanted something different.  I said lets do a berry pink, mocha brown, and the red.  I'd like to know if the darker pink, medium brown and apple red go together or if that is seriously going to clash.  Mind you we tried on dresses for the maids in the pink and while they looked good, it wasn't the right color pink (davids bridal watermelon).  We have gone back to just the red, black and white... but to me I still think we need some color.  Main issue... is grooms kilt is mainly red and it comes in lots of different shades, but we found one that is close enough to the apple red.  I've also thought about just adding in some other color to the red, black and white... so I'm open to some suggestions.

  • #1 - the grooms kilt does not need to match the wedding. The kilt is his attire, (you aren't picking white as a color because your dress is white), not a part of the decorations. As long as you don't pick neon pinks and greens for your colors, they will work fine. I personally love your berry, brown and red idea. I think it would be very elegant. If you are worried about your BMs dresses, you could always go with chocolate brown dresses and a mixture of pink and red in the bouquets - they would really "pop."
