We gave ours albums from our photographer. We were told how many pictures we could choose, and did so based on who's on what side of the family. (My parents got more pictures with my side, and vice-versa.)Just remember that it should be thoughtful. This is a big day for them. We felt like they would want to remember this day, and a photo album was a really good way of doing so.

We gave our parents gift certificates to a nice restaurant.

We got our parents engraved Champaine glasses that say Mother / Father of the bride, Father of the Groom, with our date on it.

I'm doing an album with pictures of me from infancy through my wedding for my mother and an album of pictures of my FI for his mother. a lot of work but I know they will love it!

For our moms, we were going to get them a necklace or bracelet with their name/initials on it. Plus, a day or two before the wedding, I am planning on surprising them by bringing them to lunch and then taking them to get their nails done. We know it's something they would be really excited about.Our dads are little harder to shop for. FI's dad likes Johnny Walker, so he was thinking about getting him a bottle of that (which ever one is one of the good ones). I've been looking at some really nice picture frame/clocks for my dad. It's something he could bring to his office and use. Plus I know he likes pictures. Or cufflinks (yes, he actually told my mom he really likes cuff links. My dad is the type of man you could buy a tie for, and he would genuinely love the tie). Gotta love the rents
