I reaad about it in a bridal magazine today and I had to share... we want to do it!

I forgot exactly what it was called, but you take a bottle of your favorite wine and you put it in a box along with a note that you have written to your FI and he has written to you a week or so before the wedding.  Then you seal the box and you open the wine and the notes on your fifth anniversary and then you do the same for your tenth! 

I think it is a great idea and we are going to try to encorporate it into our ceremony.  If not, we could always just do it on our own a week before the wedding.  Either or... I love it!

I've read about that ceremony, another option is to open it after your first married fight to remind each other how much you love one another

Im doing that too. I went and got a box from michael's that we can close now have to build padding for the wine.

We are thinking of doing this, but don't want the wine to spoil!
We don't have a basement or cool place where we could keep it...
not sure if it'll be okay just sitting in a box?

We're going to do this as well, but since we don't really drink it's going to be the letters we wrote to each other, and instead of doing a guest 'book' I'm going to buy some really nice loose paper and have our guests write notes, messages, advice, whatever, that will also be put in the box. I first heard this idea several months ago and loved it. There are quite a few shops on Etsy that sell these types of boxes.
