I haven't seen any brides talking about their grooms cake. Did anyone have a grooms cake? If so, what did you choose for his cake? My groom wants the Oakland A's stadium LOL

I was planning to do a Batman groom's cake for my FI, but he figured it out and shot it down

I am surprised by this but he insists that he doesn't want it. Says I'm really sweet for considering it but that he doesn't feel it's necessary and also doesn't want Batman at our wedding -even though he LOVES Batman.

Shrug... at least I tried.

*Instead we are having a dessert buffet along with our cake at the wedding and canoli (our favorite pastry) at the rehearsal dinner! Yum

We had one. It was a sound board since H is an audio engineer. He loved it.

FI really wanted to use these precious moments Red Sox boy and girl figures for our cake topper but the colors don't match our theme at all. I wanted to do a groom's cake that's a baseball diamond with them standing on it but it was too expensive from my baker.

I decorate cakes as a hobby but can't bring outside food from a non-licensed provider, plus I don't want that headache on my wedding night. So, I'm actually making it for our rehearsal dinner.

I meant to, but time got away from me. Not getting it done is one of my few regrets about the wedding.

ours is two carvel sheet cakes... FI LOVES carvel ice cream cake.  it's all he wanted. 

what FI doesn't know is that i enlisted our bakery to draw two different JETS themed logos on them.  similar to kristan's!

I was thinking of doing a grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner.  We are both wrestling fans and he is an amatuer wrestler on the weekends (think WWE) so I was going to get a wrestling ring cake with him and his idol on the cake, most likely Hulk Hogan or Shawn Michaels, or maybe both LOL.

FI is getting a Reese's cake for the rehearsal dinner. It's all chocolate and peanut butter with Reese's cups and Reese's Pieces all over it. I think I'm going to bring like six gallons of milk to the rehearsal...

I'm getting FI a "replica" of his racecar... it'll be mint chocolate chip cake -- which he LOVES, but I never let him have because I hate it, lol. I know he'll love it, and it's a complete surprise

My FI is having a grooms cake in the shape of the TARDIS from Doctor Who. It's going to be epic. Even though we're having a Celtic wedding, Doctor Who has to be in there somewhere. Yes. We are nerds. I embrace it. The baker is going to make it standing up so it will be tricky to cut but amazing.

We served H's groom's cake as dessert at the rehearsal. It was red velvet, and had a superhero theme.
