OOT Bags

Can you ladies give me an idea of what all you put in your bags.  We just have a few OOT of town guests, but I wanted to show them my appreciation for making the trip.  I won't be including a map or local restaurants or anything because there isn't much in the area and I know that everyone is coming just before the rehearsal and then leaving the morning after the wedding.  My thoughts were a thank you card, bottle water, snacks for the hotel room....  AND.....that was it.  Any help would be great!  Thanks!

Re: OOT Bags

  • What about also including gum or mints or something along those lines? Since there is nothing in the area, what about a deck of cards?

  • Is there a popular snack or something made locally? What is your area known for? We have a bakery that makes a specific type of cookie that is very well known in our town, we are including those cookies in the welcome baskets. Snacks and water bottles are always good. Maybe a bottle of wine? I also agree with the PP. Put a deck of cards or a travel version of a game such as Scrabble or Uno.

  • Thanks ladies.  Those are good ideas.  There are things around the area, like walmart McDonald's etc, just nothing too special, plus I know there won't be much time.  I like the idea or cards/game and maybe wine.  We have a local chocolate store that I was going to get a few homemade goodies from there.  thanks!

  • The wedding I recently went to also included a little pack of tissues. I was definitely glad I had thrown them into my purse before the wedding! ;)
  • I ordered gable boxes from Papermart and put in personalized water bottles, granola bars, cookies, cheezits, advil, and a personalized door hangers that I ordered from an Etsy seller.

  • We are putting in water, snacks & fruit, gum, mints, schedule for the day and map to our ceremony site, advil & tums.
