What are you reading?

I'm looking for ideas on good books to read.
I read, among many others  "Something Borrowed", "Something blue", "The wedding girl" by Madeleine Wickham.

Any recommendations on books you've enjoyed?

Re: What are you reading?

  • Shopaholic ties the knot / Sophie Kinsella was also a good one :-)
  • I think I'm done reading wedding-related books.  So right now I'm working on Book of the Dead by Patricia Cornwell.  About as far as you can get from wedding planning!
  • I'm reading Applying Educational Research. Silly grad school. It's eating into my pleasure reading.
  • I'm currently reading "What the Dog Saw" by Malcolm Gladwell. Love that guy!

I also just finished reading "Handle with Care" and "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult.. They were good but much shorter than what I usually read..

  • I just read Shopoholic Ties the Knot.  It made me really hate her character!

In chick lit, I just read a little bit of a series, Slightly Engaged, Slightly Single, etc.  I found it at the library, so I think it's older.  It was cute, though.

Now I've moved on to the Twilight Series.
  • Lucy Sullivan is getting Married by Marion Keyes I love her books
  • I'm not much into chick lit, sorry.  I finally read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, it was delightful.  FI just bought me Waiter Rant, which I'll read after NaNoWriMo, but I should probably finish Farenheit 451 first.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • i am rereading The Lovely Bones-so good and the movie is coming out in a few weeks, Peter Jackson had a hand in it so it looks AMazing. I am also reading German Shepherds for Dummies and for school, The Mouse and the Motorcycle,  and recently  finished The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. I second whoever said Marian Keyes, she is fantastic and her Walsh sisters books are some of my faves!
