colorful wedding dress?

Hello,
I am getting married in december and I would love to have a colorful wedding dress. Maybe a mixture of warm colors like red/gold/automn colors. But I am having a terrible time finding stores that do that in San Francisco. All dresses are white or off white.

Do you know a designer or shop that would have that?

    Indian brides typically wear a shade of red for their weddings, and alot of designers are making dresses available in those colors.  Maybe do a search for that.

    Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

    in the brides.com dress gallery you can refine a search by color. Maybe try that and see what designers come up and check to see if they have a retail store in your area.

    Also you don't have to just stick with wedding dress designers. Try department stores or retailers like Jessica Mclintock, Cache, Group USA etc. that sell formal evening dresses. They'll have a wide variety of dresses in lots of colors.

    Indian bridal dress are very colorful and in most colors imaginable and some indian designer are making wedding dresses like your traditional dresses but with a color twist.  I saw a gorgeous wedding gown done in green and blue done by a indian designer.  So there are plenty of possibilities out there.  You might have to look a little bit more.  Good Luck!

    Chrissy Wai-Ching is based out of Seattle but does dresses for anyone anywhere.  Her dresses include hand-dyed silk, utilizing whatever colors are appropriate for you.  If you are looking for color and creativity, her design asthetic may meet your needs.
