We have two ushers in our wedding and I know they are suppossed to act as "guides" for the guest in terms of seating... but I dont remember seeing or interacting with any ushers at the last five weddings I've been to. What is their typical involvement? Just to kind of direct traffic when guests try to find seats?I know some people have them escort mothers down the aisle but I dont know if we're going to do that. My fiance will probably escort both of our mothers down the aisle then take his place up front.
