Has anyone else had a stressed out FI? My FI and I do not live together and we won't until we get married. We have been talking about buying a house at least a month or two before we get married, that way it will be ready by the time we do. Well this is stressing him out. He has never bought a house (neither have I), and the thought of making monthly payments bothers him. He is the type of person that just saves his money until he has enough to buy things (like his car). I admire this quality about him greatly. So he's never owed (other than rent and small bills)money to anyone in a large sum, and it's really bothering him. I assured him this is what people do and we will be okay. I think it's kind of silly for him to stress over this. He makes very good money that will be enough to support us both while I finish school (plus I bring in money from pt job as well) He wants to be a good provider for me and our future children. So what do I say to him to help him relax a little?
