Can I get same day Marriage license in St. Louis, Missouri?

Me and my fiance' reside in Atlanta Ga our wedding date is 07/22/2012. We're flying into STL on 07/20/2012. Whats the process to obtain a marriage license? How soon can we have the license.? Thanks

Call the clerk's office and ask them.  Also find out their hours of operation and everything that they require.  Finally, pray like you've never prayed before that your flight is not delayed because most Clerk's offices close at 4:00 or 4:30 on Fridays.

If it will be in STL county, here is what their website says:

How soon may we be married after we apply for a marriage license?
Couples may apply and obtain their Marriage License on the same day. The marriage ceremony must occur within 30 days from the date of issuance of the license or the license is void.

What is the process to obtain a certified copy of a marriage license?
Saint Louis County marriage license records, from 1877 to the present, are available at the Recorder of Deeds Office. Helpful information includes: full name of the groom, full name of the bride at the time of the marriage ceremony and the approximate date of the marriage ceremony. Requests may be made in-person or by mail. To obtain a copy by mail complete the Marriage Copy Order Form . The fee for a photocopy of the marriage license is $2, a certified copy is $9. Please add the cost of postage with the payment or send a self addressed stamped standard size envelope when ordering by mail.

Especially since you can't just run home to get something that you didn't know you needed and you are not leaving yourself any type of time cushion here.

Be careful about this. In NJ you have to wait 3 days before you can pick up your license.  They misspelled my mother in law's name on ours and had to redo it so we had to wait another 3 days.
