I would like to start off by apologizing because I bet my venting is going to be ridiculous to you ladies.
We have decided to split the wedding three ways between my parents, my FI parents and us. We are having a destination wedding to avoid spending a ridiculous amount of money having an in state wedding. We really are cutting costs and when I showed my parents what we liked for ceremony, they started telling me that we werent cutting costs and that I should choose the lower priced package even though its not what I really wanted.
And now FI's parents are saying they want to pay for half of the wedding if my parents pay for the other half so that we can save our money. Totally nice gesture and all but MIL wont ask herself and wants me to ask my parents. I know how my parents are and I know that if I ask that, they will just think that we are trying to get out of paying our part of the wedding.
On the other hand FI's parents want to invite more people than we want to have. I have told her multiple times but she keeps insisting.
I am just so frustrated with everyone and just needed to vent! Thanks for listening!
