This is true - they send out a weekly press release to every media outlet with a list of all the soldier funerals occurring that week (and sometimes other funerals, like recently there was one for a teacher) but no one know where they will actually show up. I get the press release at work all the time.
And if one of these funerals happens to be in your coverage area, there are then a series of discussions about not giving them the publicity but ultimately deciding that the public should and would want to know if these people are threatening to show.
I just keep hoping they either run out of money or that when Phelps' stone of a heart gives out they just fall apart. Apparently they run a fairly successful law firm and many members of the church work there but they are all pretty much related anyway.
Or maybe their family line will die out because no one wants to spawn with them and/or inbreeding.

  It hurts my heart what these people do. Not only the fact that is is a soldier being laid to rest but it is someones child, mother, father, brother, sister, love... It breaks my heart. I am so proud to have men and women (Patriot Guard Riders) to stand up before this hate and allow for the mourning to be done and the last respects to be paid for our fallen loved ones...
