Ring Bearer/Flower Girl

Hi girls! I need advice on what to do about my RB and FG. The RB is 2yrs old and the FG is 14 months and just starting to walk. I don't expect either one of them to hold a pillow or a basket but what are some cute alternatives for them walking down the aisle? I've seen the wagon idea and it is SUPER cute but I'm worried the 2yr old might be too young to want to pull the wagon.

Re: Ring Bearer/Flower Girl

  • 2 is way too young to expect him to pull the wagon to the end of the aisle.
  • A lot of people have their RB and FG hold little signs that say Here comes the bride.
  • I think they're both too young for any official duties.  Dress them up, and take lots of pictures, but I don't think you can realistically expect them to do anything more than look adorable.
  • A 2 yr old probably won't pull the wagon. Just send them down the aisle with their parents (if their parents are in the wedding party), or seat the parents near the front and have them get the kids down the aisle by calling to them quietly.

The 2 yr old might be capable of holding a pillow with fake rings attached, you can give the rings to the best man to hold. That's what we did, and our RB was 4.
  • Why not put both kids in the wagon and have a grown up pull the wagon?

I like this idea but instead of a grown up, how about an older kid pull them down in the wagon...
