Teen Mom 2 PPD

Im here catching up on Teen Mom 2 (guilty pleasure) & decided to do a google search on Kailyn Lowry. She was one of my favorite moms from the group...until I came across this article. Click Here for Article

Apparently Kail is already married to Javi & is now planning a PPD for next year.

Pretty disappointed. You figure as some one who knows all about accepting the consequences for her actions, she would accept the fact that her and Javi got married in a JOP. Which is completely fine, but doesnt entitle her to a PPD.

No wonder so many people get the wrong idea of a vow renewal & insist on having a PPD. When you have people like Kail in the media doing the exact same thing.

Re: Teen Mom 2 PPD

  • Gotta say, she has been bothering me lately. I don't like the double standard that her ex can't have his girlfriend around at all, but she can have two dudes in and out of her kid's life like it is nothing.
So this doesn't surprise me much.

  • I agree. She is being so hypocritical about her ex's gf. On the episode Im watching, her bf moves in with her! But yet, her ex cant have his gf around. All these girls are so crazy! In this same episode, Leah is talking about getting married and buying a house with the same guy she just got back together with at the begining of the episode.

  • Jennell was planning one too because also had a JOP wedding. I stopped watching regularly after a couple of seasons. If you are gonna plan a PPD, don't blast the media with pictures of your JOP wedding!

  • I agree with nextrightthing. I used to think that Kail was the sane one in that bunch. But man, that is just not the case anymore.

And I think Chelsea's annoying baby voice would make puppies cry.

At this point, I watch the episodes because I can't stand not knowing what happens and to read the recaps here (LINK).
In Response to Teen Mom 2 PPD : I'm offended at the idea that ANYONE looks up to these girls. You truly think that girl learned a damn thing from any of her mistakes? She got to star in a TV show because she got pregnant as a teen! What negative consequences has she had to deal with that would teach her anything?
    Posted by LingerLonger1
Plus she has gotten paid big money for all of it!

  • Linger, I do not look up to her. What I meant was when she got pregnant, she accepted it and became a mom, instead of trying to continue to be a teen. So, you figure she would just accept that she got married at the JOP and move on as a newlywed, instead of planning her wedding do over. We all know the media and the wedding industry make it seem like every wedding has to be this huge, grand events. When really, they dont. We feel pressured into having this fairy tale wedding because the media makes it seem like thats the norm. Maybe bc she is a "celebrity" she feels like she has to put on this huge PPD for the media. Which is sad.

  • All of these girls do not show how tough teen motherhood really is. For one, which one of them works a 40+ hour job? One of the girls has her dad pay for everything and complains ohh my life sucks because I'm doing it all alone, oh except for the days my mom or my friends takes my kid.
In Response to Re:Teen Mom 2 PPD: Um, no. Sorry but if she had REALLY accepted being a mom and stopped being a teen, she would have done what was best for her CHILD and not signed on to do a teen melodrama on MTV. And the fact that you're basically making excuses for why she might think she "has" to have a PPD turns my stomach.

I do have to agree with Stage here.

None of them have accepted the consequences of being a teen mother or of any of their actions really. They are getting paid for their poor choices. Repeatedly! Can I see how a young person would not understand negative consequences when they are getting paid and getting publicity for it? Yes. Does that make it right? No and I side eye their parents for not helping them understand that there are negative repercussions for some things.

They all feel really entitled to special treatment all the time. I mean, hello? Janelle trying to negotiate a jail sentence because of a concert? And poof! She doesn't go to jail but gets to continue her probation instead.

  • I am by no means saying that she should be entitled to have a PPD, as she is planning. I think the media and wedding industry make it seem like its okay to do PPDs, which is why many people feel like its okay.

  • Farrah NEEDS her daughter taken from her. No 2 or 3 year old child needs to be told they are ugly and needs to have her eyebrow waxed. Seriously!

  • Wow, this thread is making me glad I haven't watched those shows in a couple of seasons. Why are these girls getting married anyways? They are still SO young!

I can't believe that siht. I want to know WHAT business would actually sit there and rip off a baby girls eyebrows with hot wax, probably giggling about how much better she looked afterwards. That is one hundred percent child abuse. She isn't able to consent to something like that. Farrah is sick in her head

  • I think Farrah did it at home but still child abuse. She than bragged all over Twitter what she did. It makes my stomach turn what some of these "moms" do and MTV pays them for that garbage. The only child that came from that show that stands a chance is Catelynn's since she was adpoted.

  • Oooh Teen Mom. It is such my guilty pleasure and a great self-esteem booster! Yes these girls are out of their minds, but it's entertaining to see such train wrecks. It is sad though to see how their kids are affected by their insanity. Kaitlyn really irks me with her two-faced double standard...Dad's gf can't even be around, yet her bf can move in. I do like Chelsea though. She is completely spoiled and doesn't have any realization of the "working world" but I really think she is a good mom to Aubree.
In Response to Re: Teen Mom 2 PPD : It can't be that sad because you continue to feed into it giving them the ratings they need to stay on the air. Oh good. The child runs the roost. That's probably how she ended up pregnant before graduation.
    Posted by LingerLonger1
I mean't the baby daddy, not the teen mom's actual dad but I digress...

Yes I give them ratings, but sometimes it feels so scripted I forget that these are actual children involved and it's a "reality" show
