Need a little help finding items

Hello.  I am getting married October 2011 and am having some trouble finding items in one of my colors.  Our colors are aubergine/eggplant and platinum.  I am finding all kinds of items in platinum, but am having a lot of trouble finding aubergine/eggplant items.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I could use all the help that I can get.  Thanks so much!!

We've already picked out the bridesmaid dresses at Dessy and they are aubergine with a platinum sash.  So, mainly the ceremony and reception decorations.  Also trying to find a thin satin ribbon for the invites.  They are platinum and I wanted to add that splash of color.  I can find all sorts of bright purples, but because it is a fall wedding I wanted something richer.  Anything will help!!

Check Michael's or JoAnn's fabrics if you have one near you - they should have the thin ribbon.

Have you checked craft stores?  My sister's favorite color is purple in eggplant-ish shades, and she manages to come home with random purple stuff constantly.  I'm sure it's out there.

would dark chocolate hershey kisses work for you?  i am pretty sure they are wrapped in a dark purple foil.  just a thought.

im getting married next october 2011 and i want to order aubergine dessy bridesmaid dresses, but ive read a few reviews that these dresses come in looking like  a much lighter purple. do you have any pictures of your bridesmaids you could post?

The OP posted about this in June 2010 which was 18 months ago. She probably will not be checking for responses in December 2011. Resurrecting old posts is kind of a no-no here.

I would recommend finding a local bridal shop that carries Dessy BM dresses and asking to see either a dress in the aubergine color or a color swatch.
