i feel accomplished!!

i'm back at home (Georgia) and wedding planning HARD!.

we came down for our engagement party (turned out FABULOUS thanks to mama, Granmama, and my MOH).

-we also booked & paid for our venue (Grand Hyatt in Atlanta)
-got our caterer (my older brother's friend, thanks JB)
-talked to my Tias about my flowers (two of my aunts will be doing my flowers, thanks Jenny & Evie)
-talked to my auntie about hair styles for my bridal party (thanks Keysha)
-on my way to meet with my friend who agreed to take care of make up (thanks Cody & team)
-i have a basic idea what i want my wedding invitations to look like and i will be talking to my vendor about it tomorrow before i head back to Michigan.


the only things i need to do are
-get my wedding dress (heading to kleinfelds in 3 weeks)
-pick out my bridesmaids dresses & flower girl dress
-rent tuxes for my FI and & his GM
-buy plane tickets for the wedding (paying for a lot of people)
-mail my save the dates

i procrastinate A LOT. this is major for me lol

Congrats. 

 I was also an OOT bride.  I just flew in, booked everything and flew out a few days latter.   Planning was fairly easy for me.

I'm surprised the Grand Hyatt allows outside caterers.  Umm.

i was too! everything i read online said they didn't, but when i called about 2 months ago so we could visit i asked and they lady said they did. i even asked again today and they told me yes and i got right on the phone with my caterer.


and i forgot to mention that i need to apply for my marriage license sometime this summer.

Make sure it is in writing that you are allowed to use an outside caterer.  If it isn't in your contract I would get it added.
