How long till you get married from when you got engaged?

How long is everyone waiting to get married?? We were thinking Oct 2012, but now we are thinking of waiting till after Jan 2013 to save more.

I don't remember the day we decided to get married. I think it was in May (or late April) of 2011. We were married September 2011. We had a short engagement, obviously.

I guess I have the longest time between engagement and wedding.  FI and I will be getting married 7 years after our engagement.  We have ahd several dates planned, but something always ended up going wrong with that date.

We got engaged Dec 28, 2011 and our wedding is April 27 2013...so 1 day shy of 16 months. We need time to save and I just started a new job in Decemeber so I need to build up some vacay time as we want to have our honeymoon immediately after tying the knot.

Engaged December 2010 getting married february 2012...14 months. At the time it seemed like the longest engegment ever, but honestly 2011 was the fastest year of my life. The 14 months seriously flew by and now I can say we are getting married next month!

Engaged June 2009 and married July 2011 so just over 2 years. I really liked the long engagement; plenty of time to save, pay things off and make sure we got all the vendors we wanted.

1 year and 10 months (August 2011-June 2013) We were thinking about only waiting a year, it definitely seemed like torture to almost wait 2 years. I am so happy I waited, gave us and our family some time to save money, i needed to get in shape a little more, and I get to plan a little bit at a time so I do not get totally stressed out.
