personal wedding website??

The message board "search" feature wasn't working, so I thought I'd make a new post. I want to make a really nice wedding website. I DO like the one provided by theknot, and already pretty much finished it, but the website URL is WAYYYY too long. Anyone have any personal experience or reccommendations on where I can build a wedding website? I don't mind paying a reasonable amount of money. Thanks!

Re: personal wedding website??

  • I made mine using weebly, it was really easy to use and it looks great.  They have a lot of options and its super user friendly.
  • I made mine using Weebly as well.  It's free.

If you're only beef with The Knot's wedding website is the long url, you can go to www.tinyurl.com and make a shorter url.  You can even customize it with you and your FI's names.

The main advantage of using Weebly is you can have your website set up however you want.  You can get rid of stuff you don't want and add stuff you do want that isn't available using the Knot's wedding website features.
  • My planning bio is through Weebly.  My site for the guests is through WeddingWire.com.  It's free and they have some really fantastic tools you can use.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • There is also weddingchannel.com, which gives a nice much shorter URL.
