Billings Vendor Reviews - October Wedding

We recently got married on the 9th of October in Billings and wanted to provide some reviews to future MT brides.

Church: St. Patrick's Co-Cathedral
The church setting was beautiful, very special. Also, don't believe what you may hear from other brides, working with Rosie was wonderful.  She was so great to deal with even from long distance.

Reception: Yellowstone Art Museum
This venue was amazing.  They have a very talented venue director, Ken Haak, who has done a great variety of events for the museum and he knows exactly how to plan for one and what goes best where (trust him!).  Throughout the wedding our guests got to look at all exhibits on display.  The YAM has a projector for any slideshows and the perfect space for smaller wedding receptions.  The museum also has an outdoor courtyard for dancing if the weather is good.  We would suggest bringing in speakers if not having a hired DJ though.

Caterer: Kreative Kapers Catering (Milford Burke)
The food was quite tasty and well priced.  Also Milford is excellent at working with the venue and setting up to fit the venue.

Photographer: Deb Brugman
Deb was amazing to work with.  We hardly noticed her throughout the wedding and reception (which we think is a great quality in a photographer).  We received the pictures about 2 weeks after the wedding and were very impresses with the quality and quantity.  She caught almost everything we wanted.  Definitely plan some extra time for pictures.  I wish we could have gotten more at the Yellowstone Art Museum.  Deb is also very down-to-earth and easy to work with.

Flowers: Evergreen IGA
I was a little disappointed in the flowers, but for the price I think they were done okay.  I had gardenias which have a tendency to wilt and they had wilted a bit by the time they were delivered (but smelled great).  I really didn't care for the ribbon colors on the bouts (but also hadn't been to specific, so it is really more my fault).  The other flowers, ivory roses, all looked good and stood up all day.

Transportation: MT Total Transportation
We rented the trolley to transport guests from the hotel to church, the church to the YAM, and from the YAM to the hotel.  As far as we know the trolley was right on schedule.  It is a little bit rustic, but charming.  The driver (who looked like Santa Claus) was very nice and put up with all of our singing on the way back to the hotel in the evening.  The price is a bit expensive though.

Good Luck Montana Brides!!
