If anyone is looking into getting dresses from Alfred Angelo, I suggest making sure your BMs have enough time to get their attire. I originially told my girls to have them ordered by January 7th.
Just to confiirm this timeline and to be sure, I emailed them. A lady from my local store told me my color, Petunia, was being discontinued soon, but she couldn't tell me exactly when. This seemed fishy, so I asked over on E. Sure enough, they and other stores have told other brides the same thing as a sales tactic. Someone suggested I email corporate.
So the rep from customer service gets back to me and says Petunia is NOT being discontinued! Yay! However, she actually paid attention to my wedding date and said that the customary 8-12 weeks may not be enough time for an April wedding, because apparently it is a very hectic and busy time of year, I guess with wedding season approaching (so maybe they have more orders?) and perhaps with the holidays (meaning my girls would be ordering around the holidays)?
Anyway, I just wanted to warn any of you who thought they could get away with having their girls wait until January, as I was planning to do. I just hate asking them to order a dress around the holidays, because I know money gets tight and there is a lot to do, but they all said the price was fine and they said they will make it work!
