Ok Ladies,

the wedding is in 21 days, our RSVP date was March 26th. We had two people to contact after all was said and done. one couldn't make it and the other said I'll have to talk it over with the wife. We gave them 3 days to get back to us and they did not. So we put in our final numbers a few days ago. Today, he didn't even bother calling us he called my FMIL to see if they can still come. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? That is crap Im sorry. Granted we have not made our final payment just yet and Im sure that the place will be able to add two more, but it is stupid that they think they can do that. What do you ladies think?

I think that you need to relax.  For the one who told you that he needed to talk to his wife, why didn't you call him after a couple of days to double check?  That one is on you.   For both of them though, just call the venue and see if they can be accommodated.  If they called your FMIL to ask, I'd say that they already feel pretty bad without the bride stomping her feet over this.

First we only have email contact with this person. We have sent him multiple emails. My FI really doesn't even know him well, its been well over 10 years since he has spent time with this person which is his cousin. Our last email stated that if we do not here from him by such n such date we will have to assume you will not be attending. So yes we tried contacting him. Honestly I dont think we should accomidate. And I am as relaxed as I am going to be with my wedding coming in 3 weeks. so thank you for that. I assume that he called her because we have no other way of cantacting us other than email. So sure I;ll give ya that that we could have went throught the trouble of tracking down a phone number. I just didnt feel the need to since he is not really a part of anyones life in my FI family.

I don't think the "check with the wife" one is "on you." He was to check with his wife and get back to you. He did not, their loss.

i agree with the other girls - call your venue see if the ycan add 2 more .. if not then oh well too bad so sad for this guy haha

Thank you ladies, yes we did have them originally budgeted for the wedding so Its not like we can't afford them. So we will find out on monday if they can add them or not, which I am sure they can. Thanks ladies, its good to know that i would not be the only person that had a stressing moment over something like this. Sometimes I feel like I get too frustrated and why am I getting so frustrated. It will all work out in the end right?

So if he has nothing to do with the family why did you invite him and go through the steps to get in email contact with him?  If it was that important that he was there, you would have found his phone number and called.  Not everyone checks their email 10 times a day.<div>
