Does anyone have any idea what the prices of resetting diamonds and gemstones would be compared to purchasing a new ring? I have two rings that I want to combine into one to wear on my wedding day. I have one blue topaz stone set in a ring that my grandfather had bought for me when he was still alive. I also have another ring that has 7 small diamonds in a band that was a gift from my parents on my 18th birthday. These are both in gold bands. I want to have the diamonds and the stone reset in a white gold ring to wear on my wedding day. This would be both something old, new, and blue and very special to me. So is this a good idea or not very cost effective?
