Bachelorette Destination Party

I need help picking a destination bachelorette party! I'm thinking of Vegas, but I heard it can be expensive. My girls will be paying their own way, but I still want it to be reasonable. Any ideas? Please help. I am open to different areas ie: Miami, Atlantic City.

My girls wanted Vegas to for my bachelorette party. We started looking at trips already and it can get expensive....we anticipated eating PB&J the entire time we were there.

After talking it over we decided on a short "girls" cruise instead. The prices were are cheaper than Vegas (and will be even cheaper if we leave out of New York or Boston because then we won't need to pay for airfare as well). Also on most cruises all of your food is included as well as most activities that take place on the ship.

I always assumed we would go to Vegas for my Bachelorette but honestly after thinkign about it I think we would just spend the entire week drunk and partying. With the cruise we will party but we will get to be on glorious white sand beaches and soak up some sun as well.

Just an idea!

Thank you so much!! You had me laughing with the PBJ sandwiches!  LOL! Because thst what would happen. I'm getting married on Norwegian, so a mini cruise is out, but maybe a long weekend in a time share would work. At least in a time share we could cook our meals. I must think Frugally!

Why have a destination BP if it's too pricey?  I think most people stay local.

If you're doing a destination wedding (which a cruise is) I'd suggest doing a local bachelorette party.  I'm in a destination wedding next year and the other bridesmaids are already talking about doing a destination bachelorette, and all of this adds up fast.  Who is planning this? Because ultimately you shouldn't be planning your own bachelorette anyways, so I think you don't really need to worry about it.

Honestly it's not up to you were to go. A b-party is a gift to you, not a right. Your girls get to plan it.

Since my my sister's BM's were spread out all over the country, we looked for a spot that had reasonable fares from all our locations. We ended up going with Chicago, and we had a great time. Just make sure to not push anyone into the idea of a destination b-party, especially if all of your bridesmaids are local to you, since it can get really pricy. The logistics need to be planned by the BM's since this is something that they are throwing for you, not a vacation that you're planning for yourself.

Thanks so much!! This is something they want to do and asked my opinion. I know it can be very pricey. I'm gonna give them my opinion and then leave it all up to them. The bachelorette is hosted for you, not by you, so it should be up to them what/where you go, not you. Destination bach parties are really a lot to ask of your friends, unless you and they have an unlimited budget.

Since all of my friends are within 2 hours of Dallas (where I live), we just did it here. Because some are moms, they wouldn't have been able to come at all if I had done a destination. It was very affordable since only a few stayed in the hotel room.
I wouldn't have done it any other way, because it was easier on everyone.
