I am having a "smallish" wedding of just family and a few friends who are as close to us as family.  The guest list is only about 100 to 150 people, we aren't inviting co-workers or school friends for the most part. 

My bridal party and I are planning a trip to Las Vegas, my question to everyone is...

Would it be wrong to invite friends on the Vegas trip even though I can't invite them to the wedding?

My friends already know that the wedding is strictly family, but I don't want to make any one feel like they are good enough to party with but not to come to the wedding.  The bridal shower again is only the women who are invited to the wedding, so family and extremely close friends....  This is kind of like the bachelorette party.

Sorry, but you can't invite them to Vegas because that's exactly the message you'd be sending :(

You already know your answer.  It's a pre-wedding party, so the guest list should only be wedding guests.  If it were just a night of local bar-hopping it would be one thing, but Las Vegas is an EXPENSIVE city (I should know, that's where I got married) so it's quite a lot to ask of people who aren't even invited to the wedding.

If you aren't accepting gifts and are providing for the trip, then invite whoever the hell you want...
