When should I send out my SAVE THE DATES? How early?

    For OOT family and friends, I sent them about 6 months out, so they would have ample time to make travel arrangements.  I didn't send one to everyone locally - most people knew about the wedding by word of mouth, and then we sent invitations 6-8 weeks out.

    Just be sure you send STDs only to those who you are certain you will invite to the wedding.  It is a pre-invitation, and you can't uninvite them if you send a STD.  If you're not sure whether or not you want to invite a particular person/couple/family, wait to send the actual invitation and skip the STD.

    If your guests are more in town and around the area, I'd skip it.  But if they are from out of town, more like 6-9 months ahead of time.
    It's time. Adoption saving and process started in November 2012.

    6 months out from wedding date. As PP mentioned - you absolutely must sent an invitation to anyone who's received a STD..

    We sent ours out last week. Probably about 95% of our wedding will be OOT, and they will need to make travel arrangements.
