My Mind is Blank!

I have been needing to write a letter of recommendation for over a month now and time is coming down to the wire.  I always wake up in the middle of the night, or first thing in the morning and seem to have the perfect things to say, but when I have the computer in front of me, my mind is blank and everything I type seems lame.  I have said for years now that I should keep and pen and tablet next to my bed, I really think I should! 

This ever happen to anyone else?

Yes-I think I have the greatest ideas at 2 am.  Sadly, I cannot always remember them at 7 am.  I'm with you.

You should do that. Maybe getting SOMETHING down on paper, or on the screen, will jog your memory. This happens to me all the time and it generally sucks. Sorry!

I have googled a good recommendation.  I guess I should use the record feature on my phone when I am driving and have something.
