Bridal shower favor ideas

Morning CC ladies!

I am a BM in a friends upcoming wedding and am helping to plan her shower.  We have decided on a "Love is Sweet" theme and I have been put in charge of the signature cocktail and favors.

I have the cocktail covered.  I have some great ideas from pinterest and I am certainly willing to taste test as many as I need to, to find the perfect one :)

As for favors, I have a few ideas.  I definitely want to keep it more towards the edible.  Here are some I have in mind.
-  Small bottle of honey with honey stick
-  Two decorated sugar cookies
-  Cookie mix with a cute cookie cutter

Just want to get your opinions or to see if any of you have some unique ideas that stick with the theme.

TIA!

Re: Bridal shower favor ideas

  • I would go with the sugar cookies, but I just love me a good sugar cookie!  You could have them heart shaped, so they fit in perfectly with the theme.
  • I'd go with the cookies or cookie cutter. Cookies would probably just be cheaper and if people make cookies, they probably have the cutter already.
  • Personally, I would go with the already ready to eat idea. I feel like people tend to forget about favors that require doing something, and I would hate for your money to go to waste. So, I vote for the sugar cookies! Another idea (that you may have already thought of) would be a candy bar. Easy and edible!

This is true.  I do have a jar of cookie mix from a previous shower in my pantry that I have yet to mix up and bake.  But it could also be that it is for oatmeal raisin cookies and I hate oatmeal and I hate raisins so that could have something to do with it.  Now if it were for chocolate chip cookies I would have been all over that.

I researched the honey jars with a honey dipper and I love my friend but since we are expecting 40 guests I really don't want to spend $140 just on that and that isn't even including ribbons, tags, fabric and labels.

  • I vote for either the honey or the already-made cookies. I would love both of those!

  • I love the cookie idea!

My BMs had Lindor chocolates in a little purse thing (the invitaitons were purse shaped and one of the games was about what was in people's purses).

  • I'd go with the ready to eat cookies. If you enjoy baking, you could probably make them yourself and save even more money.

We didn't have any favors at the bridal shower my BMs threw for me. I certainly didn't miss them or even realize we didn't have any until a long time later. We had plenty of food though. It was a brunch buffet which was delicious.

  • Cookies it is!

I love baking so this gives me a reason to make something.  Definitely going to keep it simple and only 2 cookies a person seeing as I just found out that there will be about 40 people coming!  This will definitely help to keep the costs down since I also have to buy the ingredients for the sig drink which I know can get pretty pricey.

    Thanks again!

  • I did cookies and heart shaped cookie cutters for my sisters shower. I ordered the cookie cutters from favorfavor.com and they were really cheap. If I remember correctly I got somewhere around 80 of them for around $30-$35.
