in a rut!

My wedding is coming soon, My dress isnt done, i have no shoes, I haven't had my hair/makeup trial, haven't spoken to the photog since we booked her. I just have no motivation and am just like "eh it will work out" but I know that these things have to get done, why cant i get motivated to do them?? I got so many things done when we were first engaged!!
Anyone else experiencing/experienced this??

Well it won't all just work out. Shoes won't magically appear in your closet and your photographer won't guess what time she should arrive. Get to it now or you risk a very stressful wedding week/day!!!!

You don't have to have a make up trial or a hair trial.  I didn't.  I had the same atittude as you - it'll work out.  Contrary to what many people think, it really will be okay.

Your dress should probably be done before the wedding, but if you don't go buy new shoes and instead wear something out of your closet, again, it'll be fine!

I would definitely contact the photographer, though.  If he/she is a good pro, she'll probably suggest a time without you needing to worry about everything!

It's hard at the end - you just want all the planning and stress to be over.  I certainly did!  Hang in there :-)

Yeah, I was slacking on putting the music list together.  A month out is when I started working on it.  Still not done.  I will get it done this week.  I also need to purchase a few more items, work on the favor decor, and a few other small stuff.  I want everything finished and ready to go by two weeks out so I don't have to stress!

    That's helpful. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-undecided.gif" border="0" alt="Undecided" title="Undecided" />

But seriously, lack of motivation is usually due to boredom with the wedding process. Or maybe you overloaded yourself before. Don't stress! There's still time! I would suggest doing something fun that's wedding related. Like, get a bridal magazine and have a bubble bath (seriously, this always gets me in the wedding mood), or go out for a lunch date with some of your BMs. You just need that wedding spark again. Trust me, you are not the only one who's lost motivation.

I have slowed down some (I have just under 6 months to go though).  I think you need to just do it (corny I know).  Contact the photographer and set up a meeting so you can hash out all the fine details.  Take a day and go shoe shopping (include your close friend to go with you for advice... I love to shop so this would not be a problem for me).

As long as the major things are taken care, which I assume they are since you're just a month out, you should be OK.  Set up a make-up and hair trial a week or so before the big day if you want, but yo don't have to.  And as for your dress... how far along are the alterations?  Make an appointment with the seamstress for a fitting.  Your dress should be ready soon so as long as you get reassurance about that, you can relax.

Is there someone who can help you out? If you're not motivated, have your fiance or your mom or your sister call the photographer for you or set up a hair trial. I work a lot, my mom made me appts for dresses and called up bands to arrange showcases. I am sure your mom would be willing to help you out.

Take it from a bride that was just married two weeks ago and waited until the last minute for all her diy projects, you do NOT want to wait until the last week/minute to do things. It just adds so much unnecessary stress. It always inspired me to look at other wedding blogs, particularly Style Me Pretty. Love it! :) I guess that's wrong to pimp another wedding site on here, huh? Lol.
