Random question regarding Fiestaware

My in-laws bought me some great Fiesta pieces that I wanted for Christmas, a pitcher in Cobalt and a cream and sugar serving set in Marigold.  Included in the box were about a dozen Fiesta ornaments.  MIL thought they were coasters.  I don't have a use for a dozen yellow ornaments but I'm not sure if Macy's would take them back 1) without a receipt and 2) because they are on clearance (so maybe final sale?).  Is there any other use for these things?  They are too small to be used as coasters.  Link below!

Re: Random question regarding Fiestaware

  • Macy's generally takes back anything, but if you don't have a receipt you'll only receive the item's value on the day you bring it back (so, if you bring it back today, $2 per ornament).  Since it sounds like MIL thought they were coasters and had no intention of giving you a dozen keepsakes, I don't think you need to feel obligated to keep them.  For me personally, I'd use the $25 or so that you'd get from returning the dozen on a sweater or something, so the return would be worth it to me, but I'm a Macy's-holic.

  • What about using them as trivets to protect your countertops and table? You could use a couple for that. That's what I would do.
