Wedding colors

Help me! I would like a shabby chic wedding, but love bright colors like yellow, orange and bright pink. Shabby tends to be pastel colors. Can I combine shabby with those colors. How?

Re: Wedding colors

  • I'm not sure what chabby chic is specifically...But I love navy, grey and yellow together! Pink and navy look great too, and orange and turquoise would be a good combo. The knot has pictures with those color combos, and they are beautiful!

  • Absolutely!  I have not seen a wedding color scheme that didn't look great.  The possibilies are endless.  I think chabby chic meets bold colors would be fabulous.

I think this will look great too!!
  • I'm doing a light green (kind of celery-ish) with bright pink.  I love mixing brights with lights!
  • Sounds beautiful! I'm doing robin's egg blue, and a coral bright pink. Shabby, vintage, and rustic. You can do it!
  • I'm having pink and navy. I just love it!

Why don't you mix these bold colors with their pastel counterparts? Maybe not all 3 because you don't need to have a ton of colors. It can be distracting. But maybe do an accent color like grey, and then have both bold and pastel pinks with it. You can even add a little purple or something to deepen the colors.

    Here's some pictures:
