Hi ladies and gents (if there are any on here) I'm getting married a year from tomorrow (as you can see on my ticker). This will actually be our second wedding, as our first wedding was 10-10-09 at the courthouse. We initially planned on having "a big wedding" however, due to both his parents suddenly falling ill and subsequently passing away we decided that it wouldn't be a good move financially. We had always maintained that we would be getting married and having the Catholic wedding we were originally planning.
While I was planning the first time around, and before my hubby lost both of his parents within months of eachother, I had selected my best friend to be my MOH. We've been best friends for over 20 years, and I love her like a sister. The first time around, 11 months away from our wedding date- I went dress shopping. I wouldn't have even thought about going without her so when I made the appointment, I consulted with her as to what day was good for her (she has a fluctuating schedule at work). Anyway, basically through the entire process- I always made sure to include her.
Next year her wedding is exactly 1 1/2 months before mine actually it's on my bday, she asked me to be her MOH and she ofcourse will be mine. I am so excited for the both of us, and especially for her, cause she's been wanting it for so long, and her FI and her have been together for 17 or so years. They are perfect for eachother in every way, shape or form. I love him like a brother as well.
Now here's what baffled me... the other day she sent me a text message that she was on her way to possibly buy her wedding dress. I know the dress she wanted because she had emailed a picture to me (it is GORGEOUS!) about 2 weeks before. I must admit that it stung a little or quite a bit that she went without me. I text her congrats, and am genuinely happy that she bought it and all, but I'm a little hurt that she didn't include me in such a special process? Am I being too sensitive?
