Re: THE KNOT LACKING DIVERSITY FOR BRIDES..

  • Have you tried asking a question?  There's a bunch of ladies from all over the world on this site.  Also check out the cultural wedding boards.

  • Maybe try looking on your local or wedding month board.  I see all kinds of different cultures and ethnicities on here.  Post a specific question about hair, makeup, whatever and see what bites you get.

  • I agree with other B's, ask a question!! Most bloggers here are very helpful and I'm sure you'll find ideas. Maybe some of the pics in the Photos section of the website are not representative of everyone's ethnicity or traditions, but that's what posts are for. There are many people willing to help. Good luck!
  • Try the cultural wedding boards, and ask your question anyways, some one will direct you to the book of answers :)

    Welcome to the boards!

  • How do you know?  It isn't like you can see the other people who are on the boards?  I have seen plenty of diversity on the knot.  I agree with PPs, don't be afraid to ask your questions, you might be surprised by the diverse responses you receive!

  • I don't not believe the knot lacks diversity.  There are brides from all over the world in every size/shape/color/religion etc.  You seem to be implying that we are all cookie cutter brides and something is wrong with us.  I personally find this offensive.  If you would like a specific type of bride to answer (religious, ethnic, etc) just ask for it specifically.

  • i think it's laughable that anyone would consider this a diverse environment.

not that it has to be or that there is anything wrong with "us" but there is a distinct lack of racial, ethnic and religious diversity here.  i don't see a lot of posts about anything that isn't predominantly white/christian/american.

  • Thank U ladies for heating up the boards and making me proud. And course I've inquired furthe and done my own research, but again I used the term LACKING to make a point. :) Sorry for caps, all of us or not physically apt to enjoy togging so quickly, we get by with what we have..right? :) smiles to u all Typed and translated by her bff/man/boo
  • Yeah, this board is pretty diverse.  You'd be surprised at who's posting, the knowledge of the posters and the resources you can be referred to.
