NWR: Why am I not sleeping??

I am so so so so tired. Apparently I'm not sleeping well anymore and I haven't for a few months. I'm exhausted all the time. I started taking vitamins hoping that would help but it hasn't. I guess my mind never stops racing about all the little details so I never get fully rested. Oh well... Oh and I really don't want to be at work today. I'd rather be home sleeping... I am excited to go home and let my roomie dye my hair for me though :)

I'm in the same boat, sleep has not been my friend lately :) I found that if I work on something WR, even if it's just for a little bit or something small it makes me feel better that something got done.

Make sure you're exercising during the day - some physical activity, and try taking a melatonin pill at night when you're ready to settle in.  Be sure you'll have 7 hours to sleep it off, but it's all natural - it's the chemical in your body that makes you sleepy anyway.  Don't take it unless you're really settled for bed, otherwise it doesn't seem to have an effect.  Also, make lists.  I know my mind races when I'm afraid something will be forgotten - I obsess by thinking about it in an attempt to not forget.  When I write it down, I can stop obsessing and know I'll get to it at an appropriate time.  Give this a shot, I hope it helps.

i agree with PP... i was a MESS right before the wedding and one of my biggest fears was forgetting something i wanted on the big day... so i started making a list and kept it with me all the time so if i ever thought of something i could write it down right away! good luck with the sleep!

Oh hunny - it is way too soon to be wedding sleep deprived. Do all you can to get more activity into your day, make lists like the other girls suggested, have a glass of wine or something as a night cap, AND don't forget that special alone time with FI - that was my perfect medicine for a good nights sleep. Come mid to late August it will onyl get harder to sleep.GL!

You MUST sleep the night before your wedding.  Start trying things out now that will knock you out without leaving you drowsy (bath, glass of wine, benedryl at 8pm was my fix).GL!
